New Circle Team Members

During the past few months we have been lucky enough to welcome, not one but four, new members to our Bristol team. If you’re one of our clients, you may recognise some of these faces, but if not you can e-meet them here!

Although we are sadly still in the midst of a pandemic, we have been able to make the most of it by onboarding our new members remotely and making good use of the wonders of the internet.

Find out how they have been finding their feet so far.

Christy - Junior Developer

I am enjoying the virtual experience of working remotely during this global change. I am a student developer doing a placement with Circle Interactive.

This is the first time I am working with a company remotely and I am happy to work with the circle interactive team.

This experience is different as I never thought I will be working from home while I visited Circle last December for Interview and introduction procedures for the start-up.

Even during this pandemic they are guiding me to the right path by a continuous conversation with a mentor and other team members through Google meet, Zoom, and Mattermost chat application.

The team is supporting me in all ways to explore more with projects with clients, new learnings, and for getting on especially while working from home.

Joss - Account Manager

Joss Starting with a new company in this environment was a daunting prospect, but the Circle Interactive team have been so welcoming and supportive.

Before COVID I’d never properly worked from home, but remote working has actually brought with it some great opportunities, such as quickly getting to know my new clients (plus their spare room/pets/children) via the ubiquitous Zoom call.

The Circle on-boarding process included being assigned a weekly ‘mentor’ which was a great way to meet different team members, learn about company culture, and have a dedicated person to direct all my hundreds of questions towards!

Adrienne - Digital Marketing

Although I had worked from home before, I didn’t really know what to expect starting a new job virtually.

Luckily the only downside I’ve experienced so far is having to wrestle my cat from my keyboard - it’s a daily power struggle!

Despite the pandemic, it has been an exciting time to join the company and it’s great to be part of a team that is truly enthusiastic about what they do.

I’ve been impressed with the development time that has been given to us newbies, and I’m eager to learn more about all things CiviCRM and Drupal.

Plus, there’s nothing like the Circle radio station, to get you in the mood for the weekend every Friday!

Vicky - Project Manager

Starting a new role during a global pandemic was a first for me, but luckily, Zoom and chat apps have been a staple of mine whilst working from home for the last few years.

Even though we’re not in the same office, the Circle Interactive team have made me feel very welcome and have been on hand every step of the way as I’ve taken on new projects.

Circle’s extensive internal knowledge bank has been a great resource when learning our systems and Halloween themed virtual games together really helped me feel part of the team.
