Taxonomy

The taxonomy module allows you to categorize your content using both tags and administrator defined terms. It is a flexible tool for classifying content with many advanced features.

To begin, it is necessary to create a 'Vocabulary' to hold one set of terms or tags. You can create one free-tagging vocabulary for everything, or separate controlled vocabularies to define the various properties of your content.

To do this, click on:

Admin >> Content management >> Taxonomy

Then create a vocabulary by clicking on:

>> Add vocabulary

These methods can be applied to different content types and combined together to create a powerful and flexible method of classifying and presenting your content.

Each taxonomy term, (often called a 'category') automatically provides lists of posts and a corresponding RSS feed. These taxonomy/term URLs can be manipulated to generate lists of posts, classified with terms.

Tags

Taxonomy can also be created in an unstructured way by the use of keywords available in content creation. Most Content Types can have have a keyword field, by default, it's good to position it between the Title and the content Body in the Vocabularies fieldset

Enter words seperated by comma, they will be added to the taxonomy automatically
