CiviEvent

CiviEvent is a comprehensive event management module for CiviCRM.

It can capture as much core information as you require from registering users, as well as custom information, dealing with event contact information, participation tracking and post-event follow up.

Online payments and receipts can also be integrated.

Accessing Civi Event

In CiviCRM3.1 CiviEvent is accessed from the tabbed administration menu .

CiviEvent Dashboard

The dashboard gives an overview of all currently running or coming up events and all recent participants who've registered below that, plus options for viewing summaries in different ways

  •  Html listing of all events that you have made public, this is viewable by users not logged into the system, giving them basic information on events and opportunity to sign up depending on how the event has been configured
  • An RSS listing of the same information for users to subbcribe to and get information about new events as they appear in your public datbase
  • Calendar formats for embedding imported information about upcoming events into your Outlook or other calendar program.

The table of events has columns that usually break down in this order

Event name - This is the tile of the Event that you will have given it in the Event Title field when creating a New Event

ID - These are internal database event IDs assigned by CiviEvent on event creation, and used to format URLs in public displays of the event on your website

Type - There are some core event types but administrators can create as many different types of events as they require. Again chose your event type when creating the New Event. More on Event Types.   (Link pending Circle Content version)

Public - Yes/No

Date(s) - Date of the Event, start date may be in the past if the event is still running and lasts more than one day

Participants -This column allows you to count the number of partcipants by role, cancellations and access the list of personal information by clicking on the count figure
